
Willis Fu Yiu-wai, senior immigration consultant for Goldmax Associates, said the slight increase in the first quarter of this year was due to families with children, who were likely applying ahead of the new school year starting in September.
“This will give them sufficient time to tie up loose ends in Hong Kong, such as resigning from their jobs, selling off their assets and preparing for their upcoming settlement in the UK, such as renting a property and applying to schools,” he said.
